8 CUPS SPICED APPLE CIDER
4 TABLESPOONS UNSALTED BUTTER
2 CINNAMON STICKS
8 WHOLE CLOVES
1 TEASPOON GROUND NUTMEG
4 ORANGE SLICES, OPTIONAL
Directions
In a large saucepan over medium-low heat, add the apple cider and unsalted butter; stir occasionally until the butter melts and the brown sugar dissolves.
Add the cinnamon sticks, cloves, ground nutmeg, and orange slices to the pan; simmer for 10-15 minutes to allow the spices and citrus to infuse the cider.
Taste and adjust sweetness or spices as desired.
Remove cider from the heat and strain to remove whole spices and orange slices.
Pour the warm buttered cider into mugs and serve immediately.
