Dalton Coffee
Dalgona Coffee is trending and I’m here for it. You can use monk fruit if you’re avoiding sugar, and I’ve also garnished it with cocoa powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg when I wanted extra elements of flavor.
Elements
2 TABLESPOONS INSTANT COFFEE POWDER
2 TABLESPOONS GRANULATED SUGAR
2 TABLESPOONS HOT WATER
1 CUP MILK, YOUR CHOICE
3 PUMPS FLAVORED SYRUP OF CHOICE, OPTIONAL
Directions
In a medium mixing bowl, add the instant coffee powder, sugar, and hot water.
Using a hand whisk, electric hand mixer, or stand mixer, whisk the mixture on high speed until it becomes thick and fluffy, forming soft peaks; this should take about 3-5 minutes with an electric mixer and a bit longer by hand.
In a glass, add ice (if desired), pour in the milk, and stir in the flavored syrup if using.
Spoon the whipped coffee mixture over the milk, creating a layered effect.
Gently stir the coffee into the milk before drinking, or enjoy the layers as they are.
