Bourbon-Spiked Whipped Cream

 

Doesn't the very name Bourbon-Spiked Whipped Cream make your mouth water and evoke a mental image of you licking the beaters of an electric mixer? Because same. The mere thought of it evokes visions of silky peaks swirling with a boozy kiss of bourbon. It’s the kind of treat that evokes childhood mischief, only now with a decidedly adult twist.

1 PINT WHIPPING CREAM

1 CUP CANE SUGAR

1 TABLESPOON MADAGASCAR BOURBON OR MEXICAN VANILLA EXTRACT

1 TABLESPOON BOURBON


Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add cream and sugar.

  2. Using a hand mixer on medium speed, mix until cream begins to thicken.

  3. Add vanilla extract and bourbon; mix on high until stiff peaks form, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. Cover with plastic wrap and chill until ready to serve.

Delicious over pie, fresh fruit, between two cookies, or over pound cake with Lemon Curd; and allll by itself.
