Chocolate Sauce
Homemade Chocolate Sauce is ten times better than the classic chocolate sauce you can purchase, and boy is it easy to make. Drizzle it over ice cream, enhance your milkshakes, moisten warm cakes and brownies, or use it as a dessert fondu dip.
Elements
1/2 CUP UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER
1 CUP CANE SUGAR
1/8 TEASPOON SEA SALT
1/2 CUP PURIFIED WATER
1-1/4 TEASPOONS MADAGASCAR BOURBON OR MEXICAN VANILLA EXTRACT
Directions
In a saucepan, add cocoa powder, cane sugar, and sea salt; whisk to combine.
Place the pot over medium-high heat and add water; bring to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce to a simmer for a few minutes and remove from heat.
Add vanilla and cool; sauce will thicken as it cools and chills.
Pour into a carafe and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
